Care & Washing Guide

The best thing you can do for sensitive baby skin is not to cover it with synthetic chemicals. Wash baby blankets with mild soap and cold water. Make your own non-toxic cleaners with simple ingredients if possible.
Our baby receiving blankets are designed to be the workhorse of your nursery, we want you to use them regularly, we know that having a baby changes your life and suddenly time is a commodity you can't afford to waste.  for this reason we have chosen cotton flannel that is washable and easy to care for. Remember to choose fibers that are easy to care for as you plan to crochet around your blanket.

Flannel Pre-washing Instructions: You do not need to pre-wash your blanket before you start crocheting.  Our flannels are pre-washed by the manufacturer.  However, if you would like to pre-wash, please follow these instructions, delicate wash in cold water with a mild soap, tumble dry low or hang to dry.  Avoid high temperatures and do not bleach.  Iron blanket with medium heat.

Blankets Washing Instructions: Washing instructions will vary depending on the type of fiber you decide to use to crochet around the edge of your blanket.  Please read and follow fiber manufacturer's instructions to wash your project.  Iron with medium heat before gifting.

Soiled Blankets:  If your baby's blanket is been soiled, which is probably bound to happen, we like to soak our blankets overnite, place warm water in a bucket or a large bowl, add 1/4 cup of baking soda and a tablespoon of a mild soap, let it soak overnite; remove next day and follow washing instructions above.
